కడుపు నిండుగా తినేసి చేయి కడుక్కోడానికి వాష్ బేసిన్ దగ్గరకి నడిచా ...చేయి కడుగుతూ ఉండగా వచ్చాడు వాడు ..పది పన్నెండు మధ్య ఉంటుంది వయసు ..పక్క వాష్ బేసిన్ కడుగుతున్నాడు ..చుట్టూ విషయాలేమీ పట్టనట్టు పాట పాడుకొంటూ వాడి పని వాడు చేసుకొంటున్నాడు ..." నీ పేరేంట్రా?" అడిగా .."రాము సార్ " .."ఏ ఊరు ?".."పొన్నూరు " ..."నీకు ఎన్నేళ్లు రా?" "పద్దెనిమిది సార్ " నవ్వుతున్నాడు ..కాదని నాకు తెలుసని వాడికీ తెలుసు అనేది ఆ నవ్వులో కనపడింది ..."చదువుకొన్నావా?" "మూడు దాకా చదివా సార్" ..ఆ విషయం మాట్లాడటం వాడికి ఇష్టం లేనట్టుగా మొహం లో భావాలు మార్చేసాడు ..చదవలేక పోయా అన్న బాధేమో అనుకొన్నా .."చదువు చెప్పిస్తా చదువుకొంటావా?" అడ్డంగా తల తిప్పాడు ."ఏం?" "చదువు నాకు ఇష్టంలేదు సార్ ...నాకు పనే ఇష్టం..ఇది కాకపోతే ఇంకోపని , నాకు ఇష్టం అయింది చేస్తా ..బడికి పోను..నాకు నచ్చలేదు బడి " ....వాడి పని అయిపోయింది ...వెళ్లి పోయాడు లోపలకి ...
చదువు ని పిల్లలకి ఇష్టమయ్యేలా ఎప్పటికి చెప్తారో ??? చదువంటే 8 గంటలు పిల్లలకి జైలు ,పెద్దలకి స్వేచ్చ లా అయింది ..చెప్పిందే చెప్పడం ..రాసిందే రాయడం ..ఇరుకు ..ఉక్క ..నిశ్శబ్దం ..బెత్తం దెబ్బలు ...పరీక్షలు ...రాంకులు ...గొప్పలు ..తిట్లు ...చావులు ...ఇదీ పరిస్థితి....

actually I want to go back to a world where everybody can go to gurukul irrespective of cast, etc.. and read .
one of my collegues was on leave and when i called her to see if everything is ok,she said her kids have exams,and her kids are in first class:(.Thats toomuch ya,they sit and prepare for exams at that age,and more than anything those huge school bags and homeowrk and stressful time in classes,all these add to the misery,and all this at a huge cost:( last heard that one of my collegue joined her daughter in a school,she brought sweets, bestschool on hyd,phew,they charged 45,000rs for a UKG kid.Where is this all leading to??
